Hello all . I would like to get some feedback from the group about any experiences using Procellera - the bioelectric, antimicrobial wound dressing. I am the Clinical Affairs director for Vomaris Innovations  and in charge of the educational program for this device. Many of you may have seen our Posters at the SAWC over the last few years  and our display at the recent WOCN meeting .Procellera is indicated to treat all partial and full thickness skin wounds and has been effective in healing both acute and chronic wounds and in many cases, initiating healing when other methods have failed .  For those of you who have used Procellera -- and have seen what it can do , I would love to hear from you. If anyone is interested in learning more about this unique technology and how it can be part of your wound care regimen please reply to this post, I look forward to hearing from you and am available to assist you in your clinical training.

Well the call went out but no one called back . That can only mean that this amazing group of wound care specialists and educators are not yet aware of this technology that has the potential to change the face of wound care. After 25 yrs of clinical practice, one sees a lot of products that promise to be the "best thing since sliced bread" . But rarely do these promises meet all the expectations. It's only the occasional new gadget or product that will turn heads and effect a change in practice . I would say the development of negative pressure wound therapy is one of those "game changers" . When we really think about what our "go to" favorite products are -- we probably all have a handful of favorites.
And , the mantra is , "if it ain't broke, don't fix it.... " Well despite the vast array of new and improved gadgets and products that I was using , I still had plenty of treatment failures. As far as I was concerned --- if I couldn't heal the patient --- then "it is broke and should be fixed" . And then I found my "game changer". After using Procellera for the first time , I knew I was dealing with something special. I was amazed at the results that I was seeing in the patients I had been treating with multiple products for months and even years. I urge anyone reading this to view the videos that are posted which will give you a better idea of how the technology works and the possible benefits of bioelectric wound care and if anyone is interested in a some samples to try, please let me know. Our patients deserve our best shot. This could be your winning move.
I am interested in samples. I work in a hospital as well as in a nursing home. In the nursing home there are some stubborn and chronic wounds that are hard to heal with traditional therapies such as hydrogel, wet to dry and duoderm. This becomes very frustrating.

Please send the samples, I love you for asking.
Hi Rosemary -- Are you at Jamaica Hospital by any chance??? I'm a New Yorker now living in Atlanta,Georgia . I actually did part of my clinical training in Jamaica Hospital in 1982 ! I also worked at Booth Memorial ( now NYHMC Queens ) for many years.
Thanks for your interest --- I definitely can feel your pain ... nursing home wounds can be a nightmare and any wound that has failed multiple therapies will pose a challenge. I would love for you to view my training webinar so that you are fully ready to give Procellera a try. I can schedule a viewing for you alone or for a group of other colleagues via an on-line connection. The session is a 40 minute video and I would be available for Q and A following the presentation . I would also recommend visiting our blog at www.procelleraunwrapped.blogspot.com for references and to participate in any discussions. Please let me know how I can reach you to arrange this. Thanks . Linda

Hi Leticia ,

Thanks for reaching out. I applaud your efforts as the new kid on the block. It's amazing how long some wounds continue to be treated without making progress.

Can you tell me the best way to reach you? If  we can talk about getting a trial going in your facility, I would need to know a few details before we get started.

You can reach me at 770-317-1512 . I look forward to hearing from you .

Best regards,

Linda
