The WoundEducators.com wound care certification course leads you through all the topics required to pass the exam, and also provides test questions similar to those that will be asked during the exam to give you plenty of practice.
As the course is based online, you can follow it at your own pace, and tailor it to meet your own requirements. Many of our previous students have told us that they found it invaluable in their exam preparation. For further information, please follow the link: www.woundeducators.com
Permalink Reply by kathleen kelly md cwsp on February 9, 2012 at 12:55pm I was surprised at how many ostomy questions there were. Don't waste your time on the nutrition formulas (targets for protein, etc). know your braden score and be able to identify pressure ulcer stage by description. I read "Chronic Wound Care: A Clinical Source Book for Healthcare Professionals" and also Ayello and Baranofsky's paperback handbook from cover to cover. I found Ayello and Baranofsky's book much more helpful, practical, easier to read, and proofread (!). If you're pinched for time, it might be enough to page through it and just read the pink highlit sections and answer the questions in each chapter. I've taken every possible wound exam (WCC, CWS, CWS-P, CMET) and Ayello helped the most in my preparation.
